The Fairy

Empress Zingha, also known as The Bajan Fairy,  is a contemporary Caribbean artist and Cultural Practitioner from Barbados.  in 2011, she graduated with her BFA in Fine Arts (Hons) from The University of The West Indies Cave Hill Campus.  She then went further and completed her Masters in Arts Entrepreneurship in 2013.  Empress Zingha specializes in Theatre Arts, Spoken Word and Creative Writing and her work has been seen in the documentary "H2O" by Clish Gittens, which toured in Fort Lauderdale, Finland, Trinidad and Tobago and Canada.

In 2015, she performed in a visual artist installation entitled "A Bit of Gossip, A Bit of Privacy” by fellow contemporary artist, Sheena Rose and was lead voice actor and Cultural Anthropological Consultant for the video game "SWIM" by Anna Harakopoulos of NinetySix Games in the United Kingdom.

Moreover, this year 2017, she represented her country Barbados for Carifesta XIII and co-founded a digital arts magazine "Gine On?!" with her husband D.J Simmons.
